From the stage to the clinic.
Tony Kosoko, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy · PgCert Sports · MMACP · Advanced Practice Physiotherapist
Movement, fitness and health have shaped my whole life, from my first career as a professional dancer to more than 30 years as a physiotherapist. I am still fascinated by the human body and what it is capable of when you give it the right tools to recover, get stronger and stay well.
My story
My training began not in a clinic but on stage. I trained as a dancer at The Northern Ballet School in Manchester and then in London, and enjoyed an eleven-year career that took me all over the world.
When I retrained as a physiotherapist, graduating from King's College London in 1995, I brought that understanding of movement with me. Six years in the NHS followed, where I gained invaluable experience working alongside outstanding physiotherapists and specialist consultants in orthopaedics, neurology, spinal surgery and rheumatology.
I entered private practice in 2001, and had the wonderful opportunity to return in part to my first love, working with independent professional dancers and dance companies. In 2003 I founded The Practice Centre on All Saints Road in West London (W11), which quickly became a go-to practice for physiotherapy, osteopathy, sports massage and Pilates.
After 23 years running a clinic, in 2026 I chose to return to what I love most: face-to-face physiotherapy and strength and conditioning, working one to one as a solo practitioner.

My approach
“Listen”
The ability to really listen to a patient, and to gather a detailed clinical history, is in my opinion the most important skill a physiotherapist can develop. Get that right, and the diagnosis follows. Get the diagnosis right, and the treatment follows.

- Spinal issues
- Sports and dance injuries
- Ehlers-Danlos and hypermobility
- Men's health
